When set to Cool/Heat there is a 3°F span between the lowest and highest temp, making it very uncomfortable to use in days when its cold in the morning but hot in the afternoon. So if you set it at 73/76 the temp at your house will range between 72 and maybe 77. I wish I knew this before buying.

Batteries are to week. It consumes more batteries power. Rest is fine and ok.

Normally I get the 250 dollar one. For some reason I can’t turn off the location setting. It thinks I’m away at night while I’m asleep.

Talk to an AC professional, who dealt with these and told me that they were difficult to keep connected to your phone and also difficult to set up and there were better options sold by other companies so I returned it

I spent hours trying to get this working with the Nest App. Called technical support and spent another hour with them. Bottom line is this thermostat is not compatible with the Nest App.On the bright side the Google Home app works seamlessly with the thermostat and I like it better than the Nest App.

I have a Google Nest learning version in my home and I really like it, the install is easy, the Nest app is easy to use. This version was okay to install, not great. The disappointing part was you have to use the Google Home app to interact with it (setting temp before you get there). It's just not a very well thought out interface and the scheduling feature should be much easier. It does the job but if I had to do it again I would get the learning version because the Nest app is much easier to use.

I had the original nest and I love it, unfortunately we got hit by lightning and I lost it. I replaced it with this much less expensive one, and it just feels cheap compared to the original, the touch interface is absolutely awful compared to the original, but we use the app so we rarely have to deal with it. I do like that you can turn the screen brightness down, the original nest was like looking at the sun, and that was the one thing I disliked about the original.

It works, but has too many limitations. e.g. you can't add temp sensors, changing the wifi name isn't possible once it's set up, etc. I can't recommend buying this vs a better smart thermostat.

I thought for sure Google would have the latest and greatest tech, but no. These are not compatible with the latest and greatest heating and cooling technology with two-stage heating and cooling. Had to send them back.
