As smart as these are it baffles me that there is no way to put the thermostat into a permanent hold temperature setting!

Setting it up was straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions and the user-friendly Google Home app. The programmable features are excellent. I can easily set schedules for different times of the day, ensuring my home is always at the perfect temperature. The WiFi connectivity is a game-changer—I can adjust the thermostat remotely from my phone, which is incredibly convenient when I'm away from home or just too comfortable to get up.The thermostat might require a C-wire for some installations, which could be a hassle if your existing system doesn't have one. Additionally, while the interface is intuitive, it can take a little time to get used to navigating all the features and settings.

We use this in our rental. We get calls all the time that people do not know how to use it. Touch Buttons are hidden on the side.

I ended up keeping the one I already had. Which is a Nest. Just a learning type. I thought it was broken, but the technician told where the real issue was. I've been very happy with mine. I've had it for 5 years!

I recently moved from a townhouse to a single-family home. Feeling blessed. We had the Nest Thermostats (gen 3) and loved them. And of course, we had to install the Google Nest Thermostats at the new house. This time around, we installed the latest version. It works great and is now managed from the Google Home App. The reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is that I don't like the side touch bar to adjust the temperature and settings. Luckily, I mainly control the temperature on my phone. I preferred the older turn wheel method, which is more user-friendly. I guess it was a cost-saving measure.

We love this product. Many great features for a relatively cheap price.

I have old chromolax hot water furnace if you not no what you are doing do not buy but if you know them buy it. You have to bypass some instruction to get it working. this way you dont need the most expensive Nest.

It was not very easy to set up multiple errors. Had to Google whatbth issue was vs the app walking me through we figured it out, but woukd have been nice for troubleshooting steps to walk you though. Overall I do like the nest, still having difficult with the economy setting and dropping the heat to 56 need to figure that out next

Wasn't seamless connecting, had to search on line to find solution, needed common wire. App works great and easy to program. Controlling from the unit isn't a good experience. I stayed at an Airbnb recently that had the better version. Spend the extra money and get the best one.
