So, I loved this system and it worked great for about 2 and a half years, then all of a sudden, yesterday it didn’t. No warnings or anything, the transmitter just quit working, which 2 of the 3 days I used this for are pretty complacent and were happy to hang around the house. The third however is a hardheaded hound mutt who took off at the first sign of freedom and I had to chance down with a hotdog to get her back. Of course she waited until after I fell in hole and hurt myself to decide she wanted the hotdog…I had been so happy with this system until yesterday, and now it’s a paperweight

With this “stay and play” 3/4 acre model there’s no intensity setting for how strongly it shocks or doesn’t shock your dog. Since my dog is small I would prefer to make sure the shock correction is minimal, but I can’t. Also, I love on half an acre, but because the hub needs to be away from metal and central and everything, the 3/4 acre radius doesn’t cover my dog’s play area.

I have a backyard that I want to contain a couple dogs. It was difficult to find a place for the transmitter that would encompass the yard and inside the house.Big problem is my house is separated from the yard by my driveway. The problem comes when I have my truck parked. The signal gets blocked. It's like a big hole in the field. Also when the truck is blocking the signal the 5 foot warning is gone. Goes right into correction. If my dog is getting correction he can't get back into a safe zone. The correction won't stop!! The correction lasts for 10 seconds and finally times out. If the receiver is giving correction fir longer than 10 seconds it goes into fail safe for up to 30 seconds where it stops doing anything. Also my house is brick. The signal is severely inconsistent. Set it to 45 feet and some areas are 20ft and others are 60 feet. The warning beep is sometimes lacking. If there is any metal like a car around the collar Will instantly correct. Then it won't stop even if my dog tries to moves back into the safe zone. When this thing is not working right it confuses my dog.Don't expect this to work if you have any vehicles inside the zone.
