Works but pup is terrified

So this worked immediately. No training required but I have done some training years ago with a collar so he gets it but even the slightest shock has him terrified now and he won’t leave there house. He hasn’t pooped in 2 days. Be very gentle with the corrections! You don’t want him spooked. Just enough to get their attention

It works good but if you have a building with in the area it will block the waves for him to get out

My dog to keep him safe he learnt the boundrys first day then he learnt how to get around them . He learnt where the weak points were battery life is good .

The collar comes with 10 settings and is easily adjusted to the level of correction needed to keep ...

We have a house without a fence and a Bichon Frise that we would have to watch whenever we let him out to take care of his business or to play in the yard. In the past we used an in-ground Petsafe product covering 5 acres for 2 Golden Retrievers and this time we opted for the wireless version due to the products ease of setting up and because it is PORTABLE. We also now live in a neighborhood on about an 0.3 acres.Within 30 minutes of plugging in the base, turning on the collar, and calibrating the collar/base to limit the distance in the front yard to keep our dog out of the street, it was ready to go.The collar comes with 10 settings and is easily adjusted to the level of correction needed to keep the dog within the boundary. We have a Bichon Frise and only needed to set the collar on level 3 correction which is barley noticeable if you held the collar. He learned quickly the boundary and this has given us the freedom and confidence that our dog will stay within the boundary of our yard.Since the base is portable, we have taken the device on trips to visit family and it easily sets up within 10 minutes by calibrating the device to the size of the yard.We have owned the Stay and Play for a month and a half and we are pleased with the product and results. It has given us the freedom to let the dog out without worrying about him venturing to the neighbors yard or the street. The one thing that would make the Petsafe Stay and Play better is if it could be adjusted for the distance in the front yard and allow greater distance in the back.

Worth every penny!

This product is awesome! IT WORKS!! We were in hot water with the dog catcher bc our dogs kept jumping over or digging under our fence. We tried harnesses and runners, but with 4 dogs it was exhausting, so we bought these, and our dogs Do Not Get Out anymore. The fence perimeter is adjustable, meaning you can make it a small area or a bigger area from 5 to 100 ft radius. It’s as easy to set up as a blue tooth speaker! The battery can run for 3 or 4 days without having to charge. The only minus is that it only comes with one collar, so if you have multiple dogs it can get pricey. We went back and ordered 2 more collars and they were 150$ apiece, but hey, it keeps the dog catcher away so it’s worth it!

This is a good system

We purchased this for our puppy- and at 6 months old, he was too young for this. Now at 1 year, he is thouroughly trained and stays in the yard! He is safe and can zoom around the outside of the house follow us around the yard, and just enjoy being outside. My one comment is the collar should not be black- we have a black dog and cannot always see the collar which has caused a couple of accidental crossings :-(. That is why I gave it 4 stars. We solved it by wrapping red tape around the collar and we are now always able to see if he is wearing the collar. I charge the battery about 1 x per month and so far so good!

Wish it covered more space; but overall works for my dogs.

I have a lab/pit mix and a beagle mix; I have an anxiety of them running off so I bought this basically to make myself feel better. I was a bit disappointed in the small area it covers, we have a big yard so i wish it went further! I did end up buying a second system and add some more area to it but even with two systems it doesnt go very far (thankfully they arent limited to the system at all times just when i'm not watching them). Other than that its a great system, battery life on the transmitters last a week or more, it was a bit confusing trying to setup the level of shock but i figured it out. I dont understand why its so expensive when buying just a second collar but i guess everything is outrageous these days.

Perfect for my needs!

I recently purchased a house on half an acre and it is not fully fenced. I have 3 large dogs- a Doberman, a Standard Poodle, and a Poodle/Collie/Retriever mix. I was looking into options for my dogs to keep them in the yard when I need to let them outside that gives them some freedom to roam around. I purchased this system in April and it has been great! I highly recommend it!It was fairly simply to setup- we determined a central location in the house on an open shelf away from metal objects, and also determined what point in the yard we didn't want the dogs to go past. One of us stood at the system unit, and the other brought a collar with them. While on the phone with each other, I reduced the range until it was right where it needed to be, and checked other areas where they could leave to make sure it kept them within the yard.I did not place flags as markers for the dogs, since the majority of my property is fenced- there are 4 exit points. Instead, one at a time, I walked my dogs around on a leash and let them hear the beeping near the exit points. Each dog was shocked only once and they immediately figured out to stay away from beeping areas. I use the level 4 shock setting on the collars. Every once in a while they test the limit, and I can tell they have heard beeping- they immediately run back to the front door and have a guilty look on their face. Please keep in mind that metal objects can obstruct the signal. One of my dogs loves the car, and tried hopping into the car while I was unloading groceries. He was immediately shocked and panicked. Needless to say he questions getting in the car now.My house is just about in the center of the property and there is minimal slope. I also purchased 2 extra collars for this system and I find they consistently work well, and the charge lasts for several weeks. I only charge the collars when the light is the yellow/red color. If they are green I do not charge them to help preserve the battery life.I love that this system is portable and wireless, and was so simple to setup. I would definitely purchase this again and have recommended it to other neighbors and friends.

The box is loud

You can hear a fan, white noise constantly! I can’t leave the box plugged in all the time like I did with the old one because the noise is too loud

Very cost effective wireless fence

I finally had to replace my receivers (2 of them) due to age, wear and tear. One lasted 4 years, and the other lasted 2 years (broke due to over tightening contacts. Excellent device works beautifully with the 3/4 acre perimeter I established. Very cost effective. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because the older one stop giving the audible warning beeps prior to correction, and the plastic casing began to just deteriorate and crumble in brittle manner. It was no longer water proof and not working properly. I am assuming after years of use, the dogs(my yellow lab) his body oils began breaking down the plastic. Don't know for sure. I have no explanation for this. It was out of warranty. There was no point of contacting maker. I would have to purchase a new one anyway. And so I did. I programed it just as I did the old one. The audible beep was back and now my dog is kept in check on my property. (within 4 acres)*One word of caution. If you have little ones, children grandchildren etc. they need to be kept away from transmitter because they will spin the range dial and just mess up your settings and when your dog is used to a certain distance he'll get zapped prematurely and with in a the smallest diameter traumatizing him. Funny in way but not so funny for my lil buddies. No harm though.Training was a bit challenging using the book method. They were so used to roaming free that they did what they wanted to do what they like to do best, run, play swim etc. I followed instructions, lost patience, but finally Iet nature train them. The lab was set at level 5 because he is stubborn, and the Boston Terrier at 3. I let them loose and zap! They high tailed it back to the house. I watched them over the course of one afternoon and they blew my mind how quickly they figured out the boundary! They also figured out the audible beep and they turn around. Now I go to work around dawn and come home and they are still there. They don't pursue mail delivery person anymore.(Not aggressively.) and they don't dare wander to the edge of the woods anymore. 3/4 acres is a lot of space for those dogs. The squirrels, rabbits and deer mock them though because they can't lay chase. lol It's worth it. It was cheaper that doing the more expensive in ground version which I prefered but had to keep things within a budget. Buy it you really won't buy a better tool for the money.
