Bought this for my daughter in college. Don’t have time to mess around with a day of troubleshooting for a pc that won’t boot. Amazon’s support was worthless and the you tube fixes didn’t work. Sent the paperweight back.

item was a gift for a student.product experienced "BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH"power indicator light on, but pad unresponsive.brought it in to a microsoft repair center and they said, no go. this issue is not considered "repairable"now i am getting the RUNAROUND from the seller, claiming they have no records of the sale.i of course supplied them with all the order information, including a copy of the amazon invoice.no go...sounds like amazon is going to make it right, BUT THE ORIGINAL SELLER (Always.Deals) DID NOT.

DO NOT BUY... I got two surface as first one was faulty so was the second one I even tried to register them with Microsoft and could't as they seem to not exist on their system I contacted seller in this regards and the response was "Since the computer is refurbished, you will be unable to register the device as the original Microsoft warranty has expired" which is not true as you can always register even if out of warranty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

It was junk on arrival. When i got it, it had not been factory reseted, i couldnt log in. I did a factory reset and after updates it would freeze up as soon as it was powered on. Sometimes i got about a minute and a half of use before it became a paper weight but most of the time it did not make it past the boot up screen. Did several rests before returning it and by brand new. Ive have no problems now and will never by refab' ed again. If i could give no stars i would.

after a year device would NOT start & cycle into UEFI. Tried all recovery options including clean re-install windows and was not possible. Last tried to create a Microsoft USB Recovery image but SERIAL NUMBER "N O T - V A L I D". Emailed seller from service Tag, denied to help me, insisted and gave me wrong info. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS they are CROOKS, operate from CANADA will report them to FTC, Microsoft and other Authorities !!!

Amazing how exactly a year after purchase the battery won't charge anymore. Bought a new charger, still nothing. Contacted MS they say I'll have to send it in for repairs after going through all the steps I already took to try and fix. Will never buy another MS product again, this happens too often. And will definitely never buy from this supplier again as it seems to be a used product.

I wish I could leave Zero Stars. First the 'good news'. We received it very quickly with Prime. That's the only good thing I have to say. It says it's certified refurbished. It kept freezing and wouldn't load anything. We spent 2 days trying to get it to work. It just went from bad to worse. Our daughter is an artist and that's why we chose this product over some others. She also will need to bring her own device to school when she begins HS next Summer. I would not recommend this product as a refurbished product. Other buyers may have gotten lucky and theirs worked just fine. It's on its way back to Amazon now. I really hope they do not re-sell that one -it's useless.

It was great product - when it worked! I ended up returning it. I bought a refurbished unit. The operating system continually locked up to the point it no longer functioned at all. Sometimes it would go for several hours, and other times it wouId lock up trying to start after doing a re-boot from the last time it locked up. I tried all of the fixes that were recommended, even doing a full re-fresh.As I said when the product worked it was great. I had read reviews on it prior to the purchase, and although this lock up was an issue noted by many. Everyone said this was fixed with the upgrades the other Windows 10 firmware. so not sure why it was still an issue with this unit.

My rating is actually "0" stars but I can't submit my post without selecting at least 1 star. I don't usually post feedback--but this is necessary. We purchased this product for an employee as a gift last year. When they logged into the device it appeared that someone else was already logged in to the device........? We tried to restart it several times but had several technical difficulties. By the time that we reached out to the vendor to see if we could return it-we passed the return period. When I reached out to them-they refused to assist me because of this reason.....The employee never had a chance to use the product AND it was defective...definitely NOT certified renewed. I (nor the company that I work for) will Never purchase a Refurbished or Renewed product from this vendor or Amazon again!

At first glance I thought Microsoft Surface was a top brand, I purchased a Surface Pro4, and it came defective with a dead spot touch screen then I said that it could be one in a million of the renewed surfaces, so I returned and bought a surface laptop2, the same issue both keyboard and touch screen are not responsive. I checked youtube, tried to troubleshoot it, and found that this is a major issue for surface products.
