I usually get waxed professionally but since the pandemic all shops are closed. I purchased the Gigi wax kit because I wanted to stay on top of my waxes. In the past I have tried microwave wax- it did its job but it was so much work. Having to reheat the wax and hope the temp is right. The Gigi wax kit it super easy to use. Plug in, heat up and place on low. Perfect temperature throughout all wax treatments. I am a satisfied customer. Great product. Tip: Make sure layer is thick enough. Hold skin down when applying and removing. Exhale when you remove the wax.

My kit came intact (nothing broken, nothing leaked), unlike some of the other comments. There was a dent in the can of wax, but that didn't seem like a huge deal to me. This was my first time trying to wax at home, so the DVD and YouTube helped me... I definitely recommend watching SOMETHING even if just to have a visual on the consistency of the wax. The timing on the instructions wasn't enough for me. Even on high, it took more than 30 minutes to melt, and it took more than 15 minutes to cool down. So, the videos of what the wax should look like were nice visuals. Also, everywhere I rubbed the pre epilation oil, the wax didn't seem to pull out as much hair in that area (despite blotting and not putting much to begin with), so I'll probably try baby powder next time like some of the other reviews suggested. Definitely the best wax to get if you ratio how well it works and how easy it is to work with!! Here's a picture of how much wax I have left after doing my bikini line and only one leg (...I did mention it's painful right? Lol) so it seems one can will last a while.

I may have a high tolerance for waxing pain but I was shocked after reading so many reviews how easy and pain free this kit was. I did a full Brazilian, legs, under arms and eye brows with out help. It did hurt more in the areas where it was difficult to pull my skin tight on my own but nothing I could not handle. I used corn starch (as I read in a review) on my legs as a pre base and it worked great. I watched a few youtube videos and took notes from several reviews so educate yourself before you start it. It did take longer than 30 minutes to melt and shipping was a few days passed the estimated date. I probably saved $100 plus on my first use from what I would have paid in a salon.

This kit is fantastic. It's fast and easy to give yourself a home wax, at a fraction of the cost of a salon visit. I have zero training in waxing, but the video is very helpful. I also paid attention to what the technicians were doing when I went to the salon in the past, so I remembered some things. The hard wax is exponentially less painful than strip wax, because it only sticks to the hair and not the skin-- but it's pretty important to remember to use the pre-epilation oil before applying wax, or it will hurt more. I also had trouble the first time with making a big mess, but by the third time I used this, I got the hang of it and had no more messes. I now give myself an underarm wax in 5 minutes, without having to schedule it in advance or make a trip to the salon.

This was recommended to me by my sister's hair stylist. She taught my sister how to use it and my sister taught me. I think the most important thing I learned was to put the wax on thick then set a timer for 5 min. so it hardens all the way. It's pretty easy to use and you can also watch YouTube to learn how to wax.

Gigi is a very fine product. It's quite substantial in volume and more than I will use over time. It sits on my vanity in the bathroom and when I need it, I simply plug the little darling into the socket and wait for it to melt. i do watch it occasionally just for safety sake. I then lower the temperature and apply a couple of applications until I'm satisfied that I've removed all those little pesky hairs above my lip line. This is the best product I've ever used. Most of them were more work and messy to deal with. Gigi is a dream. I find there is no mess. Foolishly, I purchased the extra collars. The question is: will I live long enough to use them all?. Suggestion: If you are a neat person, refrain from buying the extra collars -- at least for a while.

mine came fast without any issue. no spills, cracks or leaks.. I have extremely sensitive skin and i have had no breakouts or rashes like with other waxes. Best part is not having to deal with strips which makes it a lot easier to deal with. For me applying and removing was not messy at all. What i do:: heat wax on med/high while i take a shower(depends on how long i will be in there) dry off and turn wax off(so it's not too liquidy) work in sections Afterward i put on the gel that comes with it and also i use it to get any little pieces of wax left If you don't get the leftover wax it will turn dark/black from dirt What i got: a dvd the warmer with dome shaped lid the can of wax which also has a lid bottle of cooling gel bottle of pre epilation oil large and small sticks wax collar

After years of pulling off wax and getting skin burns, tweezing each and every hair on my chin and upper lip, painful and time consuming, I was looking at the expensive (read $299+) hair removal system. I then saw Gini Pro Waxing Kit and decided to give this one more try. On the plus side, this does exactly what it says it does...it removes hair. You need to read the instruction manual and follow directions, and it will be a little messy the first time around, but it is worth it. There is gel to use before using the wax, cooling gel afterwards and several other gels which are useful depending on whether you go with hard or soft wax. I went soft wax. On the negative side, which is a minor point, but one that I think is worth mentioning. No where in the booklet does it give an approximate time for the heating of the wax. It turned out to be 15 minutes before the wax was ready, and I think the manufacturer could give the consumer an approximate time...give or take a few minutes. Don't spend several hundred dollars when this will do the trick.

This is my first time waxing. I have never done it before or gotten it done. I watched a few bloggers on YouTube use it on their underarms, it seemed easy to apply and didn't seem too too painful, so I decided to give it a try! I have done small strips so far on my underarm and also bikini line. It is not that bad. I definitely followed their instructions w/ the epilation oil and that helps a lot! There are some waxing tips that the manual does not explain, so I had to do my own research for some more help on doing it the best way, so that it is the least painful. The box came w/ epilation oil, cooling gel, and popsicles along with the wax and warmer. I didn't get the other three bottles that are pictured. Not sure if I really got what I ordered. But in terms of the product itself, I like the easy application.

Very convenient for at home hair removal. This product enabled me to create my own beauty care schedule at a very cost effective price. The warmer works perfectly and heats the wax evenly and keeps it at the perfect temperature. I love how there are three different heat settings. I keep it on the hottest setting to melt the wax and then put it on the lowest setting while waxing so that it is just the right temperature to not burn my skin. The hard wax works great and I have even waxed a few of my friends, as well as myself with this kit about 4 or 5 times and I still have so much wax left. The results are fabulous! Would def reccommend this product to anyone who is a little nervous about going in to get a wax at a salon (ME!) and wants to save money. It is super easy to do it yourself and the instructions they provide are very helpful. If in doubt, watch a few YouTube tutorials!
